About MoneyWheel
A budgeting app built by a small business owner, for the way money really moves
MoneyWheel started with a small business owner's problem. Mikel Turner runs a small business, and personal and business money kept crossing paths: the same cards, the same bank, the same month. Apps like Rocket Money had the right features, but not the flexibility he needed.
So he built the app he wanted, with everything in it from the start: every bank and card in one place, charges sorted on their own, bills and subscriptions found before they land, net worth in one number, and personal and business spending kept apart without a second login. Then he made it bend: split one charge across categories, rename a merchant once and have it stay renamed, read a receipt from a photo and file it to the right charge.
Once it worked for a business, it was a short step to the people around one. Families got a shared set of books where a private account stays private, and nonprofits got board and treasurer logins with every dollar split the way the 990 asks for it.
